A Brief History of ISWine

ISWine is a small Wine Distribution Company started by Iain Sandler in 2013. Hence the IS bit. The aim is to work closely with wineries and vignerons held in admiration through close friendships started in my youth growing up in the Hunter Valley and beyond. The knowledge I consumed through dealing with these individual personalities is what has given me the foundation to represent these regions on a professional level.

The Wine Industry is a great social network where it takes all types of folk to make it work. The goal of ISWine is to show quality wines from a range of regions with a directional push important to get behind wines from our great State, New South Wales, which are often overlooked for quality, style & range. I have done my best to get representation from most major regions to show the diversity while attempting to raise consciousness and support towards more local producers when it comes to everyday consumption for all of the well known reasons.

In later life after living in Melbourne for nearly two years and having had the opportunity to represent, Victorian wines over time, it confirmed my love for the Wines and styles made around their State.

I also felt the need to try and showcase the wine styles I enjoyed to drink form the producers I felt akin to, from all over the place!

From my beginnings in Hospitality, and cellar door sales and then wine retail, I eventually found myself gainfully employed with red+white fine wines in Sydney. It was my 12 years with this group as well as a short stint with Enotria in the UK that made me want to have a go getting out there on my own and showcase some my favourite wines.

On this website please visit the wineries featured & feel free to get in contact if there is anything you think is interesting, if you would like to know more about anything or add a comment.  ISWine can also help your Business with On Premise focus, wine list design and an array of cellar door only, limited release and highly rated wines to compliment your list, shelf, rack, self or cellar.
